Rich's Burgers-N-Grub - Downtown

When Mr. Munchimunch and I were at Spitz for our friend's birthday dinner celebration, we noticed a hot dog joint across the street called Good Dog and wanted to try it out. After checking out a car show, we decided to head downtown to try the place out. But Good Dog had closed its doors! No worries though. We walked two doors over and gave Rich's Burgers-N-Grub a try instead.

This place is newly opened. Rich, the owner, was friendly and welcoming, and we quickly placed our order after some recommendations. There were a few tables already taken, but we were advised we could choose to be seated anywhere.


Mr. Munchimunch chose Boylan's Birch Beer while I decided to try Americana's Huckleberry. It was sweet and tart, just the way I like! Rich let us know that all of their bottled sodas were organic and had no high fructose corn syrup. Score!


Mr. Munchimunch ordered the Blue Wing Burger with Gorgonzola, house buffalo, and bacon strips. He wasn't too keen on the toasted bun, but stated the burger was alright with the not so spicy (for him) buffalo sauce and the pungent Gorgonzola.


I took a chance the Fish-N-Chips, beer battered haddock, house fries, house slaw, and tartar sauce, and was pleasantly surprised. While they were a bit greasy coming straight out of the fryer, the batter was light and crispy and the fish was moist and flaky. The fries were nicely seasoned as well.

Our trip downtown wasn't a total loss. We discovered a new food establishment, had an enjoyable meal, and took a short stroll around the area. I'd suggest Rich's Burgers-N-Grub if you're up for some good fish and chips and burgers. You'll enjoy meeting Rich.
