Smashburger is a franchise that we recently noticed in Utah. Since a new location opened up right by us, we had to stop by. We posted up an open invite and headed over for dinner.
It took us a while to look through the menu since there were a few delicious items we had our eye on. If you didn't want one of the signature burgers or chicken sandwiches, you were free to create your own.
Mr. Munchimunch ordered a root beer, while I ordered a Coca Cola. (The second time we ate here, I ordered an Oreo Shake and it was so yummy!)
We both ordered the Avocado Club burger, fresh avocado, applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing and mayo on a multi-grain bun. Sadly, we pretty much stopped reading after avocado and applewood bacon, because when the burger came out, we were disappointed the burger was on a multi-grain bun! Chalk it up to being too hungry and being in a rush to order. Other than the bun, which left a weird after taste, the burger was pretty darn good. (We have nothing against multi-grains. In fact, I love multi-grain toast slathered with some jam for breakfast!)
While Mr. Munchimunch ordered the regular French fries, I ordered the Smashfries. We loved them! Rosemary and garlic seasoned these savory fries. I couldn't eat these fast enough! On a bad note, we wish these fries were thicker and larger. The boys had to grab 5-6 fries at a time to make these worthwhile. Otherwise, they said it was a pain to eat.
We ventured to Smashburgers at least two or three times afterwards and tried a different burger each time. We haven't found a burger or chicken sandwich we didn't like. It's different than your regular burger joint and other fast food burger restaurants. Even though Smashburger is a franchise, I think it's worth stopping in for a burger, a chicken sandwich, or just for the Smashfries alone.
