This will be one of the several posts dedicated to my yearly visit back east.
Thank you for joining me as I reflect back on my trip and food adventures. Enjoy~

Picnic Gardens is a Korean BBQ buffet with several locations available. A group of friends and I met up for dinner at the Edison NJ location, which also happens to be in the same shopping strip as Paris Baguette.
A few stranglers showed up late since everyone was heading over after work. Another friend was running late because he was picking up a bottle of wine for everyone to enjoy with their meal. (Picnic Garden is a BYO type of place.) It was a pleasant day so we waited outside for everyone gathered together.
Once inside, everything is pretty straightforward. In the middle of the restaurant are the selections of uncooked meats, vegetables, seafood and side dishes. Nearby are several commercial sized rice cookers and some soups as well. You grab a plate and load it full of whatever you are craving and bring it back to your table to cook.
When you're back at your table, you cook and eat to your heart's content! Since Picnic Garden is a buffet, you can return to grab as much food as you want to eat! While you can cook everything yourself, there are attendants that come around to check on the grill and your food. They also cook your food for you as well.
To end the meal, there is a selection of ice cream available. Beautifully displayed by my friend's hands above are the ice cream flavors of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla.
I believe the dinner price is about $25-30 per person (not quite sure about kids), but to me, this is totally worth it. Dinner was full of laughs, interesting conversations, and, not to mention, amazing food and service. You definitely pay the right price for eating at an all you can eat Korean BBQ buffet.
If you're in the area looking for some good food, stop by Picnic Garden. You can definitely eat your money's worth!
