This will be one of the several posts dedicated to my yearly visit back east.
Thank you for joining me as I reflect back on my trip and food adventures. Enjoy~

As often as I've been to Princeton, I'm a loyalist to Halo Pub. (I personally like Halo Pub more than Thomas Sweet even though I went to Rutgers, not Princeton.) They have the BEST Mint Chocolate Chip I have ever had. Everything is local and fresh from Halo Farm and I use to drive down to Halo Farm once a week to stock up on necessities like bread, cheese, ice cream and their Halo Ice Tea made with sugar cane sugar and no preservatives. *sniff* I miss that stuff!
So when dinner ended at Triumph Brewing and we headed over to The Bent Spoon for ice cream instead, I had my hesitations. The Bent Spoon gave Halo Pub a run for their money!
There's a rotating selection of freshly made ice cream, cookies, and cupcakes available. I, of course, went for the ice cream! I love anything honey so I didn't have a hard time deciding on anything at all. Clockwise from the left is my honey gelato, coffee gelato, and strawberry and mango sherbet.
Here's a close up of my honey gelato with local honey drizzled on top for extra sweetness. The extra drizzle of honey actually made this too sweet for my tastes. Normally, honey flavored items are very subtle, but this was not one of them. The gelato itself was creamy, rich, and had a distinct honey flavor. I loved it!
If you're ever in Princeton, I highly recommend The Bent Spoon. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the gelato is sublime! Be warned though. The Bent Spoon is a cash only establishment!
